Rebecca Suzanna Blewster Free's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca Suzanna Blewster Free, 80, of Fayetteville, AR on March 13, 2025. Becky Free was born on December 25, 1944, in Little Rock, AR and was the daughter of Agnes Kelley & W.C. Blewster of Magnolia, AR.
Becky attended the University of Arkansas where she met and married her husband, Tommy H Free III.
She graduated from Magnolia High School where she was a majorette for the band. In 1986, Becky graduated from John Brown University with a degree in Education. She taught Drama & English at Siloam Springs High School for 10 years. She loved her students and putting on plays every year with the Junior and Senior classes.
She enjoyed playing bridge, painting, playing the piano, her Sunday School class at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, AR, and attending Razorback games. She was active in her PEO chapter and was a master gardener.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Tommy Free, two brothers, Jim and Carroll Blewster, and her parents. Survivors include her children, Thomas Kendyal Free and his wife Allyson of Fayetteville, AR, Matt Free and his wife Cindy of Ft. Worth, TX and Jamey Free Sims and her husband Mike of Fayetteville, AR; grandchildren, Mitchell Free and his wife Marissa, Phillip Free and his wife Destinee, Claire Monroe Sims, Ashlynn Patrick, Alex Patrick, and Addilynn Patrick; great grandchildren, Celine, Karsyn & Kinzley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Siloam Springs High School Scholarship Program in c/o Becky Free to be granted to students majoring in drama/arts.
