Rebecca Leigh Gonzalez's Obituary
Rebecca Leigh Gonzalez, age 28, of Fayetteville, died Friday, September 11, 2015. She was born July 21, 1987 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Victor B. and Cynthia Charlton Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her father Victor B. Gonzalez; her paternal grandfathers Manuel Gonzalez and Walter H. Green Jr.; an Aunt Rosa Vallarta and two uncles Ramy Elizondo and David Munn.
She was a Senior Solutions Specialist at Cox Communications, and a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springdale. She also was in the process of adopting Christopher Burns as her son.
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia and her husband Walter “Skip” Green III of Fayetteville; a brother, Luis B. Gonzalez and his wife Amanda of Springdale; a sister, Jessie Green of Little Rock; her maternal grandparents, Eldon and Charlotte Charlton of Springdale; her paternal grandmother, Lazara Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas; paternal aunts and uncles Maggie and Jose Flores, David and Angie Gonzalez, Manuel and Teresa Gonzalez, Rebecca Elizondo, Sara Elizalde, John Elizalde, Luz Gonzalez, Gloria Juarez, Roberto Gonzalez, Julia and Felix Palacios, Angel Vallarta, Terry and Lynn Green, Theresa and Hugh Steimel, Dawn Brandaberry, Tommy and Kathy Starr, Jim and Sandra Green and Mary Munn; maternal aunt, Anna Sizemore and an uncle, Stuart Charlton.
Rosary will be 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville followed by a visitation 5:30 p.m – 7:00 p.m.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville.
