After he family relocated to Northwest Arkansas from Louisiana, Rebecca and I came to know each other through our connection with Head Start in Lincoln, AR. She provided speech therapy for many children during her time here, and the children couldn't wait for her to come each week and 'play'! We would sit in my office and visit each week after her sessions with the children, and she we always fell back to talking about family. She adored hers, and was so proud when her daughter had an art showing on the Fayetteville Square one year! Rebecca always said our therapy room was cold, so I installed a cozy ceramic heater in the room just for her. It's still there today, and I think of her every time I turn it on during the winter!
Becky is one of the kindest, gentle people I've ever known. She had that Louisiana spice that made her fun and creative. She and George were a delightful, complementary pair. I imagine everyone who knew her loved her. I sure did.
