I met Rhonda in the 6th grade at Park Hill Elementary School. We immediately became the best of friends. My fondest memories of Rhonda include playing basketball with her as a DeQueen Leopardette. She played defense and was a force to be reckoned with. The summer of our junior year, Rhonda and I were lifeguards at the DeQueen Country Club. Those carefree days in the sun were so much fun. In June of 1973, I was a bridesmaid in Jim and Rhonda’s wedding. I knew I was a part of a match made in heaven. Rhonda and I were friends for 65 years and what a wonderful friend she was. She was kind, caring and loving. I will miss her.
