Richard Allen Williams' Obituary
Richard Allen Williams, 86 of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Thursday, February 23, 2017. He was born July 22, 1930 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Allen Holloway Williams and Marie Beulah (Jarvis) Williams. He grew up in Tempe AZ, and San Antonio, TX. He attended both St Mary’s and Trinity Universities in San Antonio, where he majored in accounting. He was a member of Tau Delta Sigma fraternity. After retiring from a career in hospital administration he worked for several years as a realtor. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Myrna Hipp, and 2 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters, Joy Prater (John) of Harrison, AR, Lynda Matthews of Fayetteville, AR, Donna Meinecke (Jim) of Fayetteville, AR, Gina Hughes (Clayton) of Tulsa, OK, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, mother-in-law Elizabeth Reagan, 9 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law, one niece and one nephew. Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM, Monday, February 27th at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will follow at 3:30 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 224 N. East Avenue in Fayetteville, with a reception at the church after the service.
