Our thoughts and Prayers are with his Family
He has alway's been a presence in my life. I remember as a smal child his many visits. Once he came driving a small sports car and he tookk Sue & I for an ice cream cone. The car was a convertible with only two seats, so I got to ride on the small space over the gear shift. I felt like I was flying. He gave me so many beautiful memories of my mother, Juanita (Robblee, Hoyt, Dodge), and our family. I have never met anyone with such an incredible memory. Dick was a delightful storyteller, and I could listen to him for hours. Dick was interested in my genealogy, even though I was born a Dodge. I have been so saddened by his passing. I will miss him and his visits, and his emails. God wanted him to come to be with Violet. We wish him our love and peace.
We will miss all the love and laughter we shared with each visit from him in Houston.
I would like to send my condolenses to the rest of our family and to my grandfathers friends , for he will be greatly missed but never forgotten, What more can you say about a man who touched so many lives , the actions and accomplishments of his life speaks for themselves. I find comfort in knowing that he has been reiceved in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. My prayers are with you all.

I remember going to visit Uncle Richard when I was a child, We went to the restaurant and Uncle Richard showed me the hog in the back, Everyone teased that the hog ate so much chinese food that it's eyes were slanting. I will always remember his visits to mom's(Geraldine) house and especially the last one he made to the Grothe-Smith Reunion. Everyone was so suprised and so happy to see him. You will NEVER be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Richard and the entire family. We will miss him greatly.
Uncle Richard was a man to be admired for his zest for life. He will be missed
You could never tire of his stories. He was undoubtedly the most interesting person we had ever had the pleasure of spending time with. We will miss him. Don Allen and Diane Harmeier
