Doc and I were happy when Coach agreed to switch to coaching girls’ basketball since our two daughters got to benefit from his knowledge as well as his calm yet intense style of motivation. He always carried a pocket notebook when a group of guys attended College basketball tournaments in KC. When he saw a new inbounds play, he would make a note and say “I might need to use that play sometime!” And he did! Thanks to Richard for loving the game and thanks to Jo for the countless hours of recording games to the benefit of so many players! His was a life well-lived.
