Richard 'Dick' Ray Jett's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Ray Jett, 82 of Springdale died Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Springdale. He was born August 14, 1933 in Washington, Indiana the son of Marshall Jett and Edna Amann Jett.
He was employed by Gress Brothers Construction as a heavy equipment operator for 46 years before retiring. He attended Cross Church in Springdale and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Fayetteville. He also loved camping, gardening and dancing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jett after 46 years of marriage on July 22, 1966, brother, Donald Jett and his parents. Survivors include 3 daughters: Cindy Arthur of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Rebecca Spies of Augusta, Kansas, Cheran Mann of Bella Vista, AR; niece, Jenette Porter of Springdale; sister, Nancy Carter of Indianapolis, IN; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM till service time on Tuesday. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday at the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with burial to follow in Elm Springs Cemetery.
