Richard was a special mentor and friend to me early in my career as a Principal in the Bentonville School District. He always had a smile on his face and was passionate about the work he did for children. Please know that he made a difference in my life and many others. I am so thankful our paths crossed in life. I'm a better person for having known him. My deepest sympathy goes to the family in their loss. My prayers with be with you tomorrow as you say your final goodbyes. I wish I could be there in person to pay my respects.

Dearest Glenna, Kathy, and Howard,
Our world has lost one of the finest men I have ever known. Our family was so privileged to be such close friends of all of you. I know mom and dad are welcoming Richard with love and hugs. As so many are writing on Facebook, “one of the best teachers and principals that Bentonville schools ever had.” May God be near all of you. Nancy and I send you our love and hugs, Alicia Fields Moody

Mr Weaver had such a marvelous enthusiasm for young teachers. He always knew my name many years later and took time to greet us in Bentonville daily life. That terrific smile made one feel welcomed and acknowledged!

I would like to express my condolences to Glenna and the family for their loss. I have great memories of Richard when he was assistant superintendent in Bentonville. I remember his great smile and easy laugh. I appreciate all he did for the district. May God bless you and give you comfort.
