Richard Duane Wilson's Obituary
Richard Duane Wilson, 83 of Garfield, AR, formerly of Bentley, MI, died at his home on November 13 from a lingering illness.
Richard (Dick)was born in Bay City, MI on August 26, 1938, to the late Thelma and James Wilson. He had many interests in his life including farming, woodworking, country music and many outdoor activities. He most enjoyed his baked goods and eating a big bowl of ice cream, especially if it was homemade! Most would remember him for his fun personality, never ending pranks and loud hearty laugh.
While in Michigan, he graduated from Sterling High School, was employed by Forward Corporation, Consumers Power Company and farmed with his brother Earl on the family farm in Bentley. After moving to Arkansas, he worked for Tyson Foods until his retirement.
Richard was predeceased by daughter, Teri Lynn, son David James, and brothers Robert and Donald. He is survived by his wife Nancy of 47 years, five children Linda (Webster) Doan, Duane (Elizabeth)Wilson, Lori (Alan) Miller, Douglas (Carol) Wilson, Dawn Mihalski, 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings Earl Wilson of Pickford, MI, Betty Gordanier of Panama City Beach, Fl and Charlotte Ridley of Clarkston, MI.
According to Richards’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services have been planned.
