Sorry to hear about Rick
Rick was one of my best friends the past 25 years. I missed his memorial because I was out of the country. He loved the Razorbacks and people in general. Stories about his experiences on the White River are indelible in my mind. He was a natural as a tennis player, but most important he was my buddy and had my back if I every needed anything- he had a wonderful way of joking with my wife and kept her laughing all the time. Big Guy, we will miss you -
I love you Man-- as he said to me many times - Woody
I am so sad to hear of Rick's death. He was a big man with a big heart and I miss him dearly.
Vernon, Sue and Greg:
May God Bless you during these difficult days.
What fond memories I have of Rick and his larger than life personality.
When we were in Mobile Alabama for the regional tennis tournament Rick to me and my 10 year old daughter for a ride in his big Blazer? and purposely drove over the parking curb much to the delight of my daughter. She still talks about that curb jumping incident.
I am so saddened to hear of Rick's death.
Our prayers and love go out to you all. May God Bless you in a special way.
Vernon, Sue, Greg and family,
Sorry to hear about Rick.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all

Rick was such a nice guy - always laughing and kidding. I thought he was compassionate and big hearted and just about the most enthusiastic person I've ever known. He did kind things for others without expecting any thanks and usually tried to keep other people from knowing what a sweetheart he was. I didn't even know he was sick, and I am so sad that I didn't get to visit with him one last time. I won't forget him. Brenda Kincaid
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Rick had a big heart and would do anything to help that he could. He must have helped us move 4 or 5 time from 20-30 years ago. He had an insightful way of reading people and could rib them after being around them just a bit. I can hear his voice and laugh in my mind right now. In 1990, fishing out of a canoe in Canada with him, he could paddle so hard my end of the canoe would lift out of the water.
Rick was a character. I had purchased a book for him called, Cast Of Characters by Max Lucado, but never got the chance to deliver it. We had talked about getting together after a phone call at the end of March, but that hadn't materialized yet. He would have liked the book.
I'll miss my friend.
