Robert Galanter (Friend And Student)
I first met Bob in 1968. I was attending the Milwaukee Area Technical College where I was studying computers and electronics, and Bob was one of my instructors. Due to our common technical interests we formed a friendship which lasted all of these many years. A few years after I graduated, Bob and Marilyn bought a home just 3 houses away from mine. Our common interests in music and electronics and computers formed a bond which transcended the distance from Milwaukee to Gravette after their move to Arkansas. When Bob and Marilyn traveled to Milwaukee on church related matters, we would always find time to have a nice visit and catch up on the latest in each others lives. On several ocassions I was able to travel to Gravette and stay with Bob and Marilyn whose hospitality was always 5 star.
What can you say about a man who gave so very much to the many lives that he touched. I will carry the wealth of knowledge he imparted to me as a lasting tribute to his memory. He was my teacher, my mentor and my dearest friend. I shall miss him greatly as will all those whose lives he touched.
I know we'll be together again someday when the Lord call me home, but until then I will miss you Bob.
