Robert "Bob" Christopher Hopmann's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Christopher Hopmann, age 73, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on November 11, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 6, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, to Urban Christopher Hopmann and Margaret Jones Hopmann. Bob grew up in Dumas, AR and graduated from Missouri Military Academy in 1970. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX where he met his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Conant. He then graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in business.
Following graduation, he worked as a commercial real estate agent in Dallas, TX for Henry S. Miller. Then moved back to Dumas to be closer to family and work in the family farm equipment business. In the early 80’s he began selling personal computers to farmers, eventually becoming co-owner of personal computer stores in Dumas, Pine Bluff, Little Rock, and Fayetteville. He then returned to the profession he was passionate about, commercial real estate. Bob worked for Lindsey and Associates in Fayetteville as a commercial real estate agent for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Urban and Margaret Hopmann; and sister, Laurie.
Bob loved his family and always kept us laughing. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons, Marc Hopmann and wife Mandi of Rogers, and Jonathan Hopmann and wife Lauren of Overland Park, Kansas; granddaughters, Elise, Sloane, and Maeve; brother, Bill Hopmann and wife Cheryl; and sister, Elizabeth Ross and husband Steve. And many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024, at Christ Church in Fayetteville, 4201 N. Shiloh Drive. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
