I lived next door to the Crockett family when Bobby and I were 5&6. Bobby and my cousin Charles Sidney Gibson were best friends and I tagged along a lot. Loved when Bobby and Creed would take us to the river and throw us in the water... the ride to the river was scary and exciting all at the same time. Best way to start a float day!
But my fondest memory is when Jose and I visited him for dinner when he lived on the hill by the store. He cooked us an amazing steak and he had the prettiest walnut table. It was a special time in my life and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with such a legend!!! Bobby was a great guy and never met a stranger!
