Robert Brewster Furlan Jr's Obituary
Robert Brewster Furlan Jr, age 71, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023.
Robert was born September 5, 1951, in Middleborough, Massachusetts to Robert Brewster and Arlene (Burke) Furlan Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Shirley (Gibson) Furlan.
He is survived by two sons; Bobby and Douglas Furlan, one daughter, Meghan Furlan, three sisters; Cynthia Bartlett and husband Thomas of Calabash, North Carolina, Deborah Carmichael and fiancé Richard Pierce of Middleborough, Massachusetts, and Pamela Wetherington and husband Ronald of Mt. Gelead, North Carolina, one brother, Billy Furlan and wife Teri of Walpole, Massachusetts, his grandchildren and his good friend and neighbor, Daniel Larson.
Robby was a typical boy growing up loving the outdoors and especially going fishing. He joined the Military and began his service at the young age of 17. During his time in the Army as a Weapons Infantryman, combat Engineer and Construction Worker he was awarded many honors including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, and a Campaign Medal.
A Private Graveside Service was held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
