Robert G. Gann's Obituary
Mr. Robert G. Gann, 60 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Rogers, AR. He was born November 22, 1948 in North Little Rock, AR to Joseph Robert Gann and Virginia (Esterling) Gann.
Mr. Gann was a retired Master Sergeant after 22 years from the United States Marine Corps including having served during the Vietnam Conflict. After retirement he worked at the Springdale Water Treatment Plant for seven years. His enjoyment in life was pleasing his wife, taking care of their dogs, listening to music with a glass of port out on the patio and watching baseball.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Philpot Gann, and two brothers; Richard Paul Gann and Larry David Gann.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Fayetteville National Cemetery with Reverend Dennis Matthews officiating.
A gathering of friends will be held immediately following the service until 5:00 PM at 1317 North Amberwood Lane in Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any of the following organizations, any Fayetteville Public School Library, Temple Shalom 608 N. Stoner Ave. Fayetteville, AR 72701, Fayetteville Animal Services 1640 South Armstrong Rd. Fayetteville, AR 72701, or The Humane Society of The Ozarks, Inc. 413 North College Ave. Fayetteville, AR 72701.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.
