Robert 'H.L.' Cornett's Obituary
Mr. Robert “H.L.” Cornett, 90 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Springdale, AR. He was born October 3, 1919 in Japton, AR to Robert Cornett and Nellie (Witt) Cornett.
He retired U.S. Army Veteran Sergeant First Class having served in both World War II and The Korean Conflict.
He is survived by two sons; James Leon Cornett of Rogers, AR, Arthur Eugene Cornett of Rogers, AR, four daughters; Roberta Kiser of Round Rock, TX, Della Frances Wilson of Georgetown, TX, Rebecca Ruth Lash of Round Rock, TX, Nancy Marie Mahaffey of Fayetteville, AR, four sisters; Betty Lou Eason of KY, Mary Kilpatrick and Fannie Brown both of Fayetteville, AR, Martha Bell Keck of Huntsville, AR, one brother Elbert Cornett of KY, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2:00 PM from 4:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, January 4, 2010 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Reverend Dorothy Hilton officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at U.S. National Cemetery.
