Robert Howard (Bobby) Hudgens' Obituary
Robert Howard (Bobby) Hudgens, SR, age 83, of Berryville, AR, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born February 1, 1940, in Fayetteville, AR, a son of the late Howard Hudgens and Madge Hudgens. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Janice Downey. Bobby was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and Arkansas Tech University. Following graduation, he coached football and track at Benton High School and then became a pharmaceutical representative for Johnson and Johnson. Bobby won many awards during his career including a distinguished service award, becoming an honorary member of the Doctor of Osteopathy Association and the state Arkansas Traveler award. Bobby played, coached, and mentored his way through life. Always the Razorback enthusiast, he never missed an Arkansas game. He filled his retirement with golf, fishing, and family. He was a lifelong learner, teacher, and prankster. He will be missed.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years Patricia Hudgens; his children, Holly Williams, Hal Hudgens, Heather Hudgens; a sister Margaret Hunt; his grandchildren, Jack Hudgens, Mary Michael Hudgens, Catherine Carter Hudgens; Chet Hudgens, Kaylee Williams, and Rachel Williams.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
