Roger Burl Young's Obituary
Roger Burl Young, age 67, of Rogers passed away Tuesday July 6, 2021, in Rogers. He was born October 20, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Charles Raymond and Wilma Francis Young. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Nicole Young.
He retired from Northwest Airlines as a commercial pilot. Roger and Beth had known each other since 7th grade and were friends. Roger and his friends were rowdy when they were young, but they grew to be fine men. Roger always was willing to help, never saying no to anyone who needed a hand. You can know a man’s life by the friends that he has, and they have all come forward with their stories and spent time by his bedside. Though Beth and Roger did not have enough time together as husband and wife, just a month shy of two years, their time together was short but sweet and full of love.
He is survived by his wife Beth Young; his son Mike Young and his wife Amy of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; his daughter Erica Fuller of Springdale, Arkansas; his brother Wade Young and his wife Cynthia of Rogers, Arkansas; his sister Nancy Payton and her husband Ron Payton of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren Saylor Young of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina and Brooklyn and Ashton Fuller of Clinton, Iowa; nieces Kimberly Brown and her husband David of Bentonville, her kids Bradley and Bailey Brown; Erin and Jason Hicks, Jessica Payton, and Austin Payton.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lodge/ Shop.
