Rose Marie Skaife's Obituary
Rose Marie Skaife, née Jagodzinske, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas, at the age of 77.
Rose was born on November 16, 1948, in Welcome, Minnesota, to Rudolph and Avis Jagodzinske. She was raised with a strong sense of faith, compassion, and service that would guide her throughout her life.
On June 21, 1975, Rose married the love of her life, Tim Skaife. Together they built a family centered on love, kindness, and unwavering support for one another.
Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, educator, caregiver, and friend. She graduated from Westmar College in Iowa and later earned her master's degree from the University of Arkansas. Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to serving others as an educator, home health aide, and nurse. Her professional life reflected the same compassion and generosity that defined her character.
Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her career. Rose volunteered with CASA of Texas and the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, generously giving her time and heart to those in need.
Music brought Rose great joy throughout her life. She enjoyed playing the piano and shared her love of singing as a member of both community and church choirs. She was an avid reader, a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, and found her greatest happiness surrounded by her family. She treasured every opportunity to attend her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, concerts, and activities, always cheering them on with pride and unconditional love.
Rose never met a stranger. Her warm smile, caring spirit, and compassionate heart made everyone feel welcome. She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and genuine interest in others. Her legacy is one of love, service, and grace, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rose was preceded in death by her son, Bill Skaife, and her parents, Rudolph and Avis Jagodzinske.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 51 years, Tim Skaife; her children, Katy Fowler (Kevin), Margie Ehrhardt (Joe), Mike Skaife (Brooke); her cherished grandchildren, Abby, Ella, Gwen, Will, Mandy, Dawson, Beth, Riley and Blake; as well as four brothers:Glenn, Vic, Garrett and Lynn; two sisters: Faye and Gail; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating Rose's life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758.

Though Rose's earthly journey has ended, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the example she set will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
