Roy Roland Moore's Obituary
Roy Roland Moore, age 83, of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away on May 8, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 11, 1941, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Delbert R. Moore and Lois M. (Clark) Moore. Roy married Leila Kersey on May 3, 1969, in Warren, Ohio. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Roy worked for 34 years at the University of Arkansas Physical Plant, working in their carpentry department.
Roy enjoyed gardening, taking care of his flower beds and planting vegetable gardens. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Roy especially liked to fish in the mountains of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Donald Moore.
Roy is survived by his wife, Leila; daughter, Kim Harper of Tontitown, Arkansas; son, Wayne Moore and wife Olga of Farmington; grandchildren, Keith Harper, Andrew Moore, and Katherine Moore; sisters, Georgie Manzanares of Minturn, Colorado, Debbie Gustafson of Gypsum, Colorado, and Merline Ramsey of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Christian Life Cathedral Chapel in Fayetteville.
