Ruby Ellen De La Porte, 81, of Wichita, Kansas, died Monday, April 12, 2004, in Rochier Heights Nursing Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born April 15, 1922, in Winslow, Arkansas, the daughter of Babe and Eva Butts Doss. She was a waitress and a Baptist.
She is survived by; granddaughter, Ellen Bowling of Fayetteville, Arkansas, great grandchild, Tommy Hunter of Fayetteville, Arkansas, daughter-in-law, Sue Sooter of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a brother, Charlie Doss of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2004 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Pastor C.H. Doss officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset cemetery near Winslow, Arkansas.
There will be no visitation.
