Rudolfo Avila Colunga's Obituary
Rudolfo Avila Colunga, 74, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Fayetteville.
He was born March 13, 1938 in Rio Medina, Texas, the son of Cruz and Jesusita Avila Colunga. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Isabel Besaw and Josie Torres and two brothers, Leandro Avila Colunga and Andres Colunga.
He was retired from Campbell Soup Company. He was Catholic and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his fiancée, Connie Nimmo; two daughters, Andreana Talley of Winslow and Ruby Birkes of Siloam Springs; two sons, Leandro Colunga of Springdale and Colby Davis of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Martinez and Juanita Lounsbury, both of Michigan; three brothers, Jacinto Aguilera, Juan Aguilera and Jessie Aquilera, all of Michigan; two cousins, Mariano Garza and Josie Reygosa; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29 at Moore’s Chapel and burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
