Ruth Foust Williams' Obituary
Ruth Foust Williams, 75, of Springdale, AR, passed away November 30, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. She was born in Springdale to parents, Eual Foust and Hilda (Coger) Foust on May 22, 1936. A Springdale High School graduate, she had lived in Springdale all her life.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doyle Allen Williams in 2008, and brother, Rodger Foust in 2010.
She is survived by a daughter, Suzzi Combs and husband John of Hot Springs, AR, a son, Rick Williams, of Springdale, AR, and a sister, Beverly Clark of Springdale, AR, three grandchildren, Patrick Combs & wife Katherine of Russellville, AR, John S. Combs & wife Erin, of Ft. Knox, KY, and Haley Anthes & husband Joe of Fairbanks, AK. She also has four great-grandchildren.
Known as the “Cookie Lady”, she was very active in the Lowell Recreation & First Baptist Church of Lowell. Many knew her as a waitress from Venetian Inn, AQ Chicken House, and Heinies Steak House. An avid camper, she and Doyle spent three years as park attendants for the Beaver Lake Dam Site State Park.
Visitation for Ruth will be from 3pm to 5 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville, AR. Graveside services are 11:00 am, Monday, December 5, 2011, in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR, 72762, or The First Baptist Church of Lowell, 409 E. Johnson Street, Lowell, AR, 72745, and the American Heart Association, 909 W. 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR. 72201.
