Ruth Getty's Obituary
Ruth Getty, 102 of Springdale, Arkansas died, Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at Holland West Nursing Center in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born July 28, 1901 in Barton, Maryland to John and Monira Phillips. She was retired from Mead Westvaco Paper Company after 27 years. She was a 1920 graduate of Barton High School, Barton, Maryland. She was a long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Piedmont, West Virginia. She moved to Arkansas in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wilmot Getty in 1970 and John R. Zais in 1952.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Baldwin of Nitro, West Virginia, Joann Hall of Springdale, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Pamela Drew of San Diego, California, Mark Baldwin of Waveland, Mississippi, Pamela Jo Whiteley of Springdale, Arkansas, Debbie DuMond of Springdale, Arkansas, Elaine Lahay of Springdale, Arkansas, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
