Alfredo A. (Fred) Romo
I will be as brief as I can since my relationship with the Greenwood family goes back 60 years. Grandma Ruth, as my daughters call her, can be best described as hospitable, selfless, humble, and compassionate. Then again, these same adjectives apply to Grandpa Perry, Uncle Pat, Aunt Ann, Aunt Mary and Uncle Bruce.
Greenwoods took me in as one of their own children when I came to the United States as an unaccompanied minor Cuban refugee who could NOT speak English. Two years later I graduated from high school, and in four more years, I graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of the Ozarks, in Clarksville, Arkansas. I served in the US Army Infantry, followed by a 30 plus year career with Whirlpool Corporation.
If my accomplishments had a password, it would be “Greenwoods”
