Ruth Gunn's Obituary
Ruth E. Gunn, 78 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Thursday, June19, 2003 in Fayetteville. She was born February 17, 1925 in Abilene, KS to Francis Benjamin and Sarah (O'Donnell) Horan. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was retired real estate broker. Mrs. Gunn also was the 1st woman President of the Bentonville Chamber of Commerce and the Kansas Women's Amateur Nine Hole Golf Champion in the 60's.
She is survived by six children; Mary Ann Gunn and husband, Michael Mashburn and granddaughter, Sara Christian Gunn, of the home; Barbara Wilson and husband Donald both of Fayetteville, AR; Martha Casey and husband James of Siloam Springs, AR ; Gerard "Jerry" Gunn and wife Carolyn of Maumelle, AR; Gregory Gunn of Lincoln, AR; Peter Gunn and wife Claire of Siloam Springs, AR; one sister; Rita Horan of Abilene, KS. Ruth is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, June 20th at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home from
noon until 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will he held on Saturday, June 21st at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow at St. Vincent's Catholic Cemetery in Rogers, AR.
Pallbearers will be Mary Ann Gunn, Barbara Wilson, Martha Casey, Jerry Gunn, Gregory Gunn, and Peter Gunn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Mashburn, Donald Wilson, James Casey, Carolyn Gunn, and Claire Gunn.

Visitation Date Time Friday, June 20, 2003 Noon until 8:00 PM with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
