Sally Slack's Obituary
Sally Slack Bexley Oxford, age 76, of Springdale passed away Monday September 15, 2014 in Fayetteville. She was born February 8, 1938 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Joseph and Edith Witt Slack.
She was a member of First Church of The Nazarene in Fayetteville where she served on the church board, received Lifetime Achievement Adward, taught Bible Study Fellowship where she taught both children and adults, the National Education Association and taught in Fayetteville Public Schools for 25 years. A member of Gideons International.
She was preceded in death by her son James “Jimbo” Robert Bexley Jr.
She is survived by her husband Harry Oxford, daughter, Becky Osburn of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; sister, Jo Ann Wackerly of Edmond, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Sarah Osburn and Hunter Osburn both of Prairie Grove.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday September 17, 2014 at First Church of the Nazarene in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene under the direction of Moore’s Chapel with burial to follow in Son’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
