Sammy Joe Gabbard's Obituary
Sammy Joe Gabbard, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on October 11, 2023. Born on November 16, 1947, in Crosses Creek, Arkansas, He was a beloved member of the community, cherished by family and friends for his warm heart.
Joe was the son of Haskell Lloyd Gabbard and Lela Massie, and he grew up in the embrace of a loving family that instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and a deep love for sports. These values would stay with him throughout his life.
Joe dedicated much of his working life to Tyson Foods. He approached each day with a strong work ethic and a smile, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
One of Joe's greatest passions was watching sports. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a season ticket holder for the University of Arkansas baseball team. Sammy found joy in the world of sports. He was known for his enthusiasm and unwavering support for his favorite teams.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 15, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. The funeral service to celebrate Joe's life will take place on Monday, October 16, at 10:00 AM at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
