Sandra M. Anderson's Obituary
Sandra M. Anderson 81 of Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista AR went home to Jesus on Friday September 11, 2020.
Sandra May Johnson was the second of twin girls born on October 5, 1938 in Murdock MN.
The family moved to Fort Dodge Iowa where Sandra attended school and graduated in 1956. She attended Tobin Business College. At a picnic hosted by the college in the summer of 1957 Sandra was introduced to Rich Anderson. After a short courtship, they were married on October 27, 1957.
In 1960, they moved to Mason City, IA where their children were born.
In 1970, they moved to Grand Island, NE where for the first time since she was married, she did not work outside of the home. She enjoyed being a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader as well as being a Cub Scout Den Mother. The elementary school was across the street from their home and she sheltered the children during snow storms for parents that worked and couldn’t get home when school dismissed early. Sandra always had craft supplies on hand to entertain the children with special projects while they were there. During a Lay Witness Mission at the community church, Sandra accepted Christ as her Savior.
In 1974, they purchased their first grocery store in Tekamah, NE. In 1978, they sold that store and purchased another in Wayne, NE. In April of 1983 after viviting Bella Vista, AR, the family relocated to the South. Sandra always loved accounting and bookwork so in 1987 she started Girl Friday. She prepared payroll and did general office tasks for several small business owners.
In January of 1994 she sold that business and went to work for one of her clients at All Weather Heating and Air Conditioning.
In February of 1996, they formed the Big Red Gallery and Gifts and Sandra took care of the bookkeeping for that business until they closed that business in 2017.
In 2007 they purchased All Weather Heating and Air Conditioning at the request of the owner when he passed away. They sold the business in 2017.
Sandra enjoyed crafts and loved to cook for her family. She was most proud to be called “Grandma”.
She is preceded in death by her twin sister Sharon Kay and her parents Ellsworth and Alice Marie Johnson.

Anderson of Bella Vista, AR her daughter Sherri Rice (Larry) of Bentonville, AR her son Royce Anderson of Bella Vista, AR her sisters Donna Paris of Boone, IA and Jan May of Summerfield, FL her brothers Dale Johnson of Grants Pass, OR, Daryl Johnson of Linn Grove, IA Jim Johnson of Ankeny, IA Larry Johnson of Spanaway, WA and Curt Johnson of Omaha, NE.; four grandchildren Lauren Nichols (Joe) of Pea Ridge, AR, Blake Anderson of Centerton, AR, Reece Anderson of Bentonville, AR, Jaxon Anderson of Bentonville, AR and two Great Grandchildren Hank Nichols and Haskell Nichols
