I just learned of Sandy's death today. I never met her but we were friends none the less. I was Robert's 7th grade Earth Science teacher in Tx. Sandy contacted me soon after he became homebound and asked that I write to him. He and I became pen pals and when he passed away, Sandy and I became pen pals. I knew when I did not get a xmas card something was wrong. I am so very sad to learn this news. I cared about Sandy and her life and knew she was important. With love, Janet
