Sara Albertine Williamson's Obituary
Sara Albertine Williamson, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, February 20th, 2023, at 85 years young. She was born on May 13th, 1937, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Albert Sydney and Dorothy Lee (Hendricks) Spooner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband J.O. “Buddy” Williamson; son James Williamson, Jr.; sisters Dorothy Jean Elmore and Shirley Ann Holt; and her brother Buddy Spooner.
Sara loved the people she loved fiercely. You never had to wonder where you stood with her. She was a top notch executive assistant, a great friend, and a loving mother. She loved Christmas and she loved her birds. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sara is survived by her daughter Carolyn L. Williamson; sister Virginia Thornton of North Little Rock; brother Gary Spooner and his wife Cynthia of Madison, Mississippi; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
A visitation and funeral service took place on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 1:00PM at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. A graveside service followed at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
