Scott was a beacon of joy. I never interacted with him when he didn’t have something positive to say or an encouraging word. His passion was clearly sharing his passions with others. He invited me to run trails and even join his regular trail walking group. While I was unable to join most of the time, Scott continued to make the offer. He clearly loved being with people and watching them discover the same joy that he found in his passion for the outdoors.
Faye. These were centered around Pulpit Rock Church activities including Couples group as well as the Ladies & Men's small groups. There was much fellowship and story telling, comparing all the places we had lived!
For the men, mountain hiking (the 14er's Club) was a big deal for more than 10 years. Scott was not the fastest climber but he seldom stopped to rest. With his steady progress, he was always among the first to the summit. Hiking for 6-8 hours provided the opportunity to talk - about places, family, life, etc. Scott would talk about Colorado history, it's railroads and the many scenic trails that he and Faye had traveled.
Scott will be missed but will always be in our hearts. We wish the very best for Faye and family! James & Patrice Christian
