Scott William O'Leary's Obituary
Scott William O’Leary-Kelly, 51, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Fayetteville. He was born June 17, 1960 in Duluth, Minn. to Allan Kelly and Janet Ruth (Girard) Kelly.
He was a supply chain management professor with the University of Arkansas, serving as the Core Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Walton College of Business, and a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He received his undergraduate degree in geological engineering and his M.B.A at Michigan Technological University. He earned his Ph.D. in operations management from Texas A & M University.
He was preceded in death by his mother Janet Kelly and brother Shawn Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, Anne O’Leary-Kelly; one daughter, Meghan O’Leary-Kelly of Fayetteville; his father, Allan Kelly of Fayetteville; two brothers, James and Michael Kelly; and one sister; Kathleen Gorden.
Scott loved his family and took special pride in his daughter, Meghan. He was an avid runner, an enthusiastic skier, a University of Michigan sports fan and enjoyed being a volunteer soccer coach.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville with Reverend Lowell Grisham officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service for the family to greet friends.
