Dear Doris and Family,

Doris,
We are praying for peace that passes understanding.
Shallie was a great "cowboy" for Christ.
We regret we will be unable to attend the service today, but you will be in our
thoughts and prayers.
Love in Christ,
John and Phyllis and Melinda
We are grateful for Shallie's impact on our lives and extend our prayer for Doris. Sue is caring for grandchildren who were affected by the ice storm and Wayne has a class to teach Friday morning, so we will probably miss the service. We are praying for you.
What possible words can give tribute to such a wonderful man? My heart overflows with love for Shallie and Doris. Jim and I have loved them both for many years. Shallie was always the same--loving, faithful, honest, humble, determined, giving to others, the peacemaker. You did not ever have to wonder where Shallie stood on an issue because he was honest and forthright. He stood firm on the Word of God. He loved his wife, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, and his Church family, and multitude of friends. He was a true servant. When we attended church together several years back, there were so many things that got taken care of that went unnoticed, and it was Shallie and Doris that just served and took care of everything because they loved God and loved others. He quietly worked behind the scenes never desiring public accolades. I was always a little envious of Rhonda and Sheila that they were God's chosen to be his daughters. He will be greatly missed, but the memories he has left us all will never fade. May God bless and comfort the family and friends he leaves behind. The angels in heaven are rejoicing today!
Much love,
Rhonda
I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Dad (and husband). I just want you all to know, I am keeping you in my prayers in these coming days. I apologize I cannot make the celebration of his life on Friday - I know it will honor him and share the joy his life has brought to everyone.
He is leaving a wonderful legacy in you all.
love,
Robin Hall
