There are no words that can truly capture the magic of one of my very best friends. Shannon was a radiant soul — wild and warm, with a laugh that could light up even the darkest sky. She loved the stars and the moon, and somehow, she was both — shining brightly, pulling people into her orbit with her energy, her joy, and her boundless love.
She was silly, hyper, and beautifully outgoing — always the first to say “yes” to an adventure or a late-night snack run. So many of my favorite memories are of the two of us being ridiculous together: raiding the snack pantry, laughing at her spot-on Spartan cheerleader impressions, and dancing like no one was watching.
She took being a mother to heart — fiercely, proudly, and with a love so deep there was never a question: her daughter was her world. And still, she had this extraordinary gift for making everyone around her feel like they mattered — like they were truly seen, deeply known, and unconditionally cherished.
The world feels dimmer without her, but I know she’s somewhere among the stars she loved so much — shining bright and watching over us.
I already miss her so much, but she is forever in my heart. <3
