Sharon Ann Bartels McNaughton's Obituary
Sharon Ann Bartels McNaughton was called to join her husband, Jim, her mother, Ellen Bartels Wutzke, and her father Julius Bartels, an infant brother, and many aunts, uncles, and friends on May, 31, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born October 15, 1942 in Medford, OR to Julius and Ellen Mae (Hubbard) Bartels.
Sharon worked many years as a medical technologist in Springdale, Arkansas, and enjoyed coming back to her home in Rogers to care for her garden and her pet dogs. She often saw deer in her back yard in the woods and enjoyed their company as well, as she spent her spare time reading many books on her outside deck and listening to the nature around her. Her husband, Jim, passed away in December of 2013, and Sharon continued to live in her home in Rogers until because of poor health, her life in the woods could not continue.
She is survived by her daughters Julie Baker and husband Rick, and Jody Engelbrecht, and husband Troy, and their families. She also will truly be missed by her very close family of brothers, Kerry and wife Marie Bartels, Donald and wife Debbie Bartels, and sisters, Patricia and husband Carl Berg, Kathryn and husband Mike Haggen, Judy Bartels, Marilyn Palmer. She was also blessed with a granddaughter, Taylor Baker, and a grandson, Chase Baker.
We will miss her at all family gatherings and in just simple times like a good phone call, and remember her as a very kind, hardworking, compassionate lady, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
A memorial service will be held in the fall.
