Sharon Lorene Horton's Obituary
Sharon Lorene Horton, age 80, of Rogers, AR, passed away Wednesday June 24, 2026, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born March 15, 1946, in Bokoshe, OK to Ben and Glenna Johnson Hinton. Sharon was a member of Flagstone Church of Christ in Bentonville, Arkansas, and a lifelong mathematics teacher who taught in Bokoshe, Broken Arrow, and Catoosa, Oklahoma, before retiring in 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Larry Joe Horton; and her brother, Gary Gene Hinton.
Sharon is survived by two sisters; Susie McGehee (Phil) and Cheryl Hughes (Barry) both of Poteau, OK; three children, Chris Horton (Connie) of Little Flock, AR, Kendal Horton of Rogers, AR, and daughter Stefanie McReynolds (Scott) of Fayetteville, AR; ten grandchildren, Cassi Kuzmich (Tyler), Jacob Horton (Tori), Paige Horton, Turner Horton (Kate), Victor Horton (Marissa), Emma Kate Horton, Keaton Horton, Logan McReynolds, Caleb McReynolds, and Austin McReynolds, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sunday July 5, 2026, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Rogers. A graveside funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Monday July 6, 2026, at Baptist Ford Cemetery in West Fork, AR.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Pancreatic Cancer Network.
