Sherrilynn Huerkamp Dean's Obituary
Sherrilynn Huerkamp Dean, age 79, of Fayetteville, AR, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born August 6, 1946, in Lakeland, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Phipps Huerkamp of Indianapolis, Indiana and brother, John Huerkamp of Virginia.
Sherri lived a life of adventure, travelling to the Caribbean, Europe, the Arctic, Asia, and the Middle East with her family. She was always sensitive to people in need, including a time at church, when she gave her car away to a lady she felt needed it more. Sherri especially loved taking her boys to interesting and exclusive places, never letting small things, like no trespassing or members only signs, barb wire fences, or steel barriers get in the way of her fun.
Survivors include her husband Denis Dean, Sr.; her sons, Denis Dean, Jr., (Kayren) of Mountainburg, AR, Daron Dean of Gainesville, Florida; brothers, Joe Huerkamp (Kit) of Zionsville, Indiana, Bernard Huerkamp (Diane) of Martinsville, Indiana; grandchildren, William Dean and Jason Dean.
Cremation arrangements are by Nelson Berna Funeral Home.
