My heart goes out to all of you at the loss of Shirley but heaven is rejoicing to welcome her home. She came to see me in 2019 after my husband Steve was killed in a motorcycle accident. It was as if we had never been apart from each other even though it had been many years. I love her so very much! She is my sister in Christ. Sending hugs and prayers.
I have known Shirley from her teenage years. Ken & I were there when Shirley & Danny were married. We visited with them when they lived in Ohio & stayed at their house in AR. Shirley & I began our Sister’s weekends in Branson before Danny & Ken died. I also visited Shirley after she married Richard. When I was visiting Richard & his son went to VA. Shirley & I went our last time to Branson. I recall all those sweet memories today, it helps me deal with these sad hours. I believe in the promises Christ our LORD made, that I may be blessed to live eternally with those who are already there.
One of the best memories I have of Shirley was her ability to meet and talk to strangers. Within five minutes she would introduce herself, ask them their name, tell them where she was from. She would ask them where they were from then she would tell them she went to Bentonville Church of Christ and would ask them where they went to church. Then she would invite them to church if they were ever in Bentonville. I called her an ambassador for Christ as she lived her faith and asked everyone to join her. Amazing lady, wife, mother and friend. She will be missed but her memory will live on in her children and grandchildren and friends. And I’m sure the first question she asked God was, “do you play scrabble!”

Our thoughts are with Richard, Dusty, Shad, Lonnie, her brother and sister, her grandchildren and extended family. It's hard to put into words how much Shirley will be missed. She was such a fun, vibrant, sweet Christian lady. She was more than a friend. Shirley was family and a Christian sister. She will be waiting with a hug when we all get to heaven. So thankful that she and Richard visited us for a few days this summer. Rest in peace Shirley. We love you and we'll see you on that Great Day. Roy and Shirley Jeffers
