Shirley Mae Leach's Obituary
Shirley Mae Leach, age 83, of Fayetteville, passed away December 15, 2012 in Fayetteville. She was born February 14, 1929 in Cold Springs, Kentucky to George and Ella (Reese) Dittus.
She retired from WACO Title in 2009 at the age of 80. She was a member of the Home Extension Club for more than 50 years and a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
An important part of Shirley's life was her childhood experience growing up in the Junior Home orphanages in Ohio and North Carolina. The friendships she made there lasted through her lifetime and she enjoyed bringing her family to visit the Home kids at reunions each year. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Beasley and her husband Kevin of Springdale; two sons, Dr. Doug Leach and his wife Trish of Fayetteville and Dan Leach of Fayetteville; one brother Earl Dittus and his wife Louise of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and longtime spouse Robert V. Leach of Bentonville.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Monday at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday December 17, 2012 at Moore's Chapel with Pastor Johnny Harp officiating with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
