Shirley Swafford's Obituary
Shirley Swafford, age 81, of Fayetteville, AR, passed from this life into heaven on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Shirley was born September 24, 1944 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Helen Eubanks. She attended grade school at Rocky Mountain and graduated from Cave Springs High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Lloyd Eubanks, and her brother, JC Eubanks, and sister, Joann Eubanks.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Herman Swafford of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sister-in-law Joyce Eubanks of Stilwell, Oklahoma; Brenda Baker and her husband Ron of Springdale; nephews Phillip Eubanks and Jay Eubanks of Stilwell, Ok; Nephew Tim Eubanks and his wife Karen of Lincoln, Arkansas. Niece Kari Riggins and her husband Kevin of Goshen; Niece Dinnah Cannon and her husband Joe of West Fork. She also leaves behind her cherished grandnieces and grandnephews: Scott Eubanks, his wife Hannah, and Daughter Noah, Kerigan Dandridge, her husband, Jacob, and two daughters Blazie and Jacie. Jaeda Eubanks, Alexa and her husband Jose and daughter Layla, Isaac, and Elijah Eubanks.
Shirley married Herman Swafford in 1962. She was the love of Herman’s life. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage together. Shirley adored her nieces and nephews. She had a tender heart for all animals and rescued many during her life.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday January 8, 2025 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday at Grace Chapel in Greenland under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday at Spade Mountain Cemetery near Stilwill, Oklahoma.
