Sibylle H. Barton's Obituary
Sibylle H. Barton, age 78, of Fayetteville passed away Monday March 30, 2026. She was born December 24, 1947 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, Germany to Robert and Anna (Gottwald) Kaechelein. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. Barton; sister, Irm and her brother, Guenther. Sibylle loved riding bikes, swimming, cooking, gardening and animals. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and enjoyed anytime we could spend together whether it was her cooking for all of us or playing cards. She was very social and enjoyed being part of the Fayetteville Newcomer’s Club and attending church services. Always kind and supportive to anyone and everyone, she was special in many ways and loved by anyone who crossed her path.
She is survived by her two sons, Brian Barton and his wife Christy and Chris Barton and his wife Brandy; three grandchildren, Bishop, Whit and Charli Barton all of Fayetteville; niece, Ulrike Hemmert; nephew, Thomas Hemmert and family all of Germany.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday April 10, 2026 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
