Sidney was a wonderful patriarch and a man my husband deeply admired. He has left behind a great legacy.
Uncle Sid was a dear, special Uncle and will be missed greatly. I have many memories from my childhood in Richardson where we had many wonderful meals and special times with my cousins during the summer. Then later in Arkansas when Cecil and I spent a few weekends with Shirley and Sid in their home while we visited my Mother, Margaret, in the retirement home. The military service at the graveside was so awesome and touching.
I called one day last week to see how they were doing and got the recording.
I worked with Sid for many years at IRS. He was my group supervisor and later Chief of the Division. He helped me in many ways during my work a Special Agent.
Jean and I had a Trailer at Cedar Creek and he and Margaret got one and joined us down there and we spent many good times there.
I will miss him very much.
My best to Shirley and all the family
Our deepest sympathy to the entire family.
