Biography
Signa Jean Allen, 87, of Fayetteville, died Monday, May 9, 2011, in Fayetteville.
She was born September 26, 1923, in Washington County, to the late Frank Andrew Osburn and Ivy Parker Osburn.
Signa was a kind and caring grandmother who enjoyed fishing, camping and sewing. Her beautiful smile and sense of humor will always be remembered by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Angus Allen, two sons, Arthur James Allen and Angus Jackson Allen Jr., and daughter, Sharon Sue Caudle.
She is survived by four daughters: Gloria McIntosh of Greenland, Mary Anna Whittington and husband Jerry of Greensboro, Alabama, Connie Dugan and husband John of Republic, MO, and Frankie Bixby and husband Paul of Fayetteville. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Moore’s Chapel.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland.
