In short, my grandmother was not just a grandmother who nurtured me as a child. The lessons she taught me (through our conversations and through how she lived her life) are important lessons that have shaped who I am as a woman today. I loved her so much and was able to speak with her a few times that year. I am lucky to have known her not just as a grandmother, but also as a woman. I will miss her, and I already do, but I am thankful for how she has shaped me.

Mrs. Crouch was always such a loving person, and opened her (their)home to me when Karen and I were inseparable in our teens. It's been so long since I've been back to Fayetteville, and was thinking of your family and came across this information. Mrs. Crouch always had such a fun quirky sense of humor! and a big heart. I was given the opportunity to meet Karen's daughters, Misty and May, and treasure that time. I hope you Cindy, and yours are doing well if you read this, and know you and your family live on in my heart and memories.
