I just wanted to express my sorrow at hearing Mr Gaither had passed on. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have assisted with his medical care. His family and loved ones are in my prayers.

I remember all the times(way back when)we all would go out, sometimes we fussed but most of the times we laughed and danced and had a great time. I'll never forget our last get together, when we all went fishing somewhere there in Arkansas. Mike caught a fish no bigger than our minnows. I still have that picture, and will cherish it.
I hope your memories of Mike helps to make things a little easier as time goes by. I love you all: Jody
Words are inadequate to express sympathy and are of little comfort at this time. My thoughts are with you during this period of adjustment and the days ahead.
The last time I saw you you said to me "we have to stop meeting like this" that was at Uncle Wayne's funeral sitting in Aunt Paula's living room. You reminded me so much of my dad. I am sad that I will never have the opportunity to get to know you better.I love you.......Rest In Peace!
Mike was a very unique caring person, always had time to console and comfort those around and never complained about his condition. God places people in our life for a reason and the reason God let Mike cross my walk on earth was to show me how to have courage, faith, love and not judge people. He will always live in my heart and one day I will be able to walk with him in Heaven. Mike loved his family and espically Betty and I cherish all he shared wuth us about their beautiful love story. Mike we love you ((((((((mike))))))))) and miss you so very much.

Dear Mike,
You were a unique individual, a special brother-in-law, and above all a friend. I will always remember you showing me how to double clutch your Opal Cadet and negotiate a high speed turn along a country gravel road. You seemed to have little concern for your car, and much concern for how my driving skills were progressing.
You were always willing to put aside what you were doing to help with my latest project like removing and adjusting the carburetor on a tired 1968 Chevy pickup. I?m sure you were thinking this gawky 17 year old kid will need more than a rebuilt carburetor to impress the girls!
Your path was not always the easiest; however, you always managed to keep your family together, rise above the fray, and persevere on the road you were called to travel.
I always admired your ability to make those around you feel at ease and accepted just as they were. This was evident from my wife?s comment, after having met you and Betty for the first time. She said, ?They made me feel totally accepted, and welcomed!? I?ve heard it said; we cannot accept others, any more than we feel our God accepts us. You, my friend, knew the greatest secret of all?that your God accepted you just as you were.
I?m very sorry I never took the time, in this world, to tell you how your gentle, humble, unassuming spirit, touched, and made a difference in my life.
I want to thank you for the 37 years you shared with my little big sister, the children and grandchildren you helped raise, but most of all; I just want to thank you for being Mike.
Until we meet again,
Love you,
Bob Lawvey
