Stasha Gay McGuire-Spurlock's Obituary
Stasha Gay McGuire-Spurlock, 66 of Winslow entered into Heaven’s gates Wednesday June 3,2026 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. Stasha was born to Paul and Leta McGuire June 12, 1959. Stasha graduated from Winslow High School in 1977. Stasha attended Fayetteville Business College before beginning her career in the local banking industry. After many years in banking, she felt called to open her home to foster children. Stasha and her husband, Jerry fostered many children throughout the years.
Stasha married Jerry Spurlock June 25, 1984. In 1986 they welcomed their first child, a son, Shelby. Six years later, in 1992, they welcomed their second child, a daughter, Erika.
Stasha was a strong willed woman and a hard worker, but above all she was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend.
Stasha is proceeded in death by her father Paul McGuire, and her husband Jerry Spurlock.
She leaves behind her mother, Leta McGuire of Winslow. Two brothers, Steve (Renae) McGuire of Van Buren, Scott (Norma) McGuire of Winslow. Her son Shelby Spurlock of Winslow. Her daughter Erika Bowles and son-in-law Robert Bowles of West Fork. Her sister in law, Phyllis Spurlock of Fayetteville and her grandchildren Jaiden Bowles and Beau Blankenship. Stasha loved all of her nieces and nephews, Kevin, Ryan, Rachelle, Brandon, Brittney, Brandy, Destiny, Remington, Dixon and Kimber, they each held a special place in her heart. Stasha also leaves behind many aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Stasha’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her “second” family, Prairie Grove Health and Rehab. We cannot thank you enough for the exceptional love and care that was given to Stasha for the last 10 years.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held June 11, 2026 at 1 pm at Moore’s Chapel with Reverend Jon Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Pinnacle Cemetery in Elkins, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Ryan McGuire, Robert Bowles, Eric Blakemore, Destiny Dobbs, Dixon Dobbs and Brandon Spurlock.
