Steffanie Bree Symonds' Obituary
Steffanie Bree Symonds, lovingly known as “Bree,” passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 41. She was born on January 15, 1985, in Texarkana, Texas.
Bree was “sunshine and rainbows” to everyone she met. She had a magnetic personality, a contagious laugh, and a spirit that could light up any room. Full of life, charisma, and kindness, she had a way of making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and important. To know Bree was to love her.
A gifted athlete, Bree excelled at every sport she played throughout her life. She was fiercely competitive, incredibly talented, and gave her whole heart to everything she did. Whether on the field, in the stands, or cheering on those she loved, she approached life with passion, determination, and confidence.
More than any accomplishment, Bree was most proud of being a mother. Her children, Hayden Carson Balladarsch, Chloe Addison Balladarsch, and Hailey “Kyler” Harris, were the center of her world. She loved them fiercely and devoted her life to providing, protecting, and caring for them. She wasn’t just a mom—she was everything. She carried burdens that would have broken many people, yet she never stopped showing up for her children. She worked tirelessly, sacrificed endlessly, and loved without limits. No matter what life placed in front of her, she always found a way to ensure her children were cared for, supported, and deeply loved. They were her greatest joy, her proudest accomplishment, and the reason she lived every day to the fullest.
Family meant everything to Bree. She shared a special bond with her mother, Tamatha Crumpton; her sister, Brittany McCulley; and her brother-in-law, Ryon McCulley. The love between Bree and Brittany was especially unique. No matter where life took them, Bree always found a way to stay close, moving from town to town through the years because being together mattered more than anything. Their bond was built on love, loyalty, laughter, and countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Bree adored her nieces and nephews, Connor Symonds, Serenity Symonds, Willow McCulley, and Ezekiel McCulley, and treasured every moment she spent with them. Her family was her heart, and she never missed an opportunity to tell them or show them how much she loved them. She had also just found out she was going to be a grandmother, as Hayden and his fiancée, Gracie McWhorter, are expecting.
Above all else, Bree loved Jesus with her whole heart and soul. Her faith carried her through life’s joys and hardships and was evident in the way she loved and cared for others. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior.
Like a wildflower, Bree lived boldly, beautifully, and freely. She could not be contained by circumstances and brought beauty wherever she was planted. Her love, laughter, strength, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She always belonged among the wildflowers.
Bree was preceded in death by her grandparents, Franklin Long, Irma Symonds, and Frank Symonds. We know they met her with open arms at the gates of Heaven.
She is survived by her mother, Tamatha Crumpton; her father, Steven Symonds; her stepfather, Jeffery Crumpton; her children, Hayden Carson Balladarsch, Chloe Addison Balladarsch, and Hailey “Kyler” Harris; Hayden’s fiancée, Gracie McWhorter; her sister, Brittany McCulley, and brother-in-law, Ryon McCulley; her brother, Gerald Symonds; her nieces and nephews, Connor Symonds, Serenity Symonds, Willow McCulley, and Ezekiel McCulley; and countless extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
