Mr. Champion was a funny, kind and gentle man who loved his family very much. Growing up, he made Stephanie and me laugh so much and always made me feel welcome in his home. I worked with Steve at the Fayetteville Police Dept for several years. I had a lot of respect for him. I know he suffered for several years with his heart. Steve was a good man and will be missed but I know he was a Christian. We will see him again when we pass over.
